The City Schools Division of Bacoor, under the direction of Schools Division Superintendent Editha M. Atendido and the Local Government Unit headed by Mayor Lani Mercado-Revilla distributed tablets for Grade 10 learners in support of the Learning Continuity Plan (LCP) as well as Secretary Leonor Magtolis Briones’ initiative to help the environment by transitioning from traditional to paperless, digitized learning platforms. The learning tablets were distributed to schools on January 4, 2021, in time for the opening of the second quarter.

Dr. Atendido expressed her joy and gratitude to the LGU’s continued support since the start of the pandemic.

“Isang mapusong pasasalamat sa patuloy na suporta sa education sector mula sa LGU ng City of Bacoor. Naniniwala po ako na walang batang maiiwan sa pagkamit ng kaalaman sa lungsod  sapagkat nagkakaisa ang lahat para sa kagalingan ng mga mag aaral. “  – Editha M. Atendido CESO V

This is echoed by Dr. Lerma L. Flandez, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Editha B. Gregorio, CID Chief, and Mr. Anthony Zeus C. Caringal, EPS in Mathematics and Online Distance Learning Coordinator who joined SDS Atendido during the distribution.

The distribution of tablets for Grade 10 learners is the continuation of the LGU and SDO’s efforts to improve the state of online and blended distance learning in the City of Bacoor. Aside from Grade 10 Learners, students in Grades 11 and 12 also received tablets last October which they are now using to safely master their lessons.
This collaboration between the SDO and the LGU is the latest project in the effort to uphold the City slogan, “Sama-sama, tulong-tulong, Love My Bacoor!”. Last 2020, learners and teachers experienced Alagang Ate Lani through the City Government’s initiative to support the local education sector through service vehicles for modules, laptops for teachers, bond papers, heavy-duty printing machines among others.
